Access methods: Videophone, Skype, web camera, and Instant messaging.
Using Skype:  Skype (versions 5.3 or higher for Mac, Version 5.5 or higher for Windows, Using H.323 (IP): Polycom, D-Link, Grandstream, or any videophone capable of dialing an IP or DNS address 
 
Language Support: 
 
New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL) and English
 
PC/Mac compatibility & requirements, internet requirements:
 
Skype is PC and MAC compatible broadband Internet connection is required,
Minimum recommended speeds – 512 KBPS download and 512 KBPS upload

Skype for Mac minimum requirements are: 
  • 1GHz Intel processor
  • Mac OS X v10.5.8 (Leopard) or newer.
  • 100 MB free disk space.
  • Either USB or regular headset if your Mac does not have a built-in microphone.
  • Download drivers<http://webcam-osx.sourceforge.net/> if you are using an external webcam.
  • For voice calls recommend broadband connection with 100 kbps down / 100 kbps up.
  • As a minimum you’ll need a high-speed broad connection of 512kbps down/128kbps up and a computer with a 1 GHz processor. 3G cellular Internet connections are not recommended
 
Skype for Windows minimum requirements are: 
  • PC running Windows® XP, Vista or 7, both 32- and 64-bit operating systems.
  • Internet connection – broadband is best (GPRS is not supported for voice calls).
  • Speakers and microphone – built-in or separate.
  • For voice calls recommend broadband connection with 100 kbps down / 100 kbps up.
  • As a minimum you’ll need a high-speed broad connection of 512kbps down / 128kbps up and a computer with a 1 GHz processor. 3G cellular Internet connections are not recommended
